Hurdalsjøen -  Minnesund, 236 m elevation gain
A leg that can be summarised as straight up – and straight down! From Hurdalsjøen, there is a 4 km climb up Minneåsvegen and through the forest to Tisjøen. Shortly after, there is a downhill section of equivalent length down towards Mjøsa. Please note that this hill have some very sharp turns, and it is important that you control your speed. Well-functioning brakes are essential!

When you reach Byrudsvegen, there is only a 2 km flat stretch to Minnesund.

As this leg is relatively short, some may be tempted by a detour from Tisjøen and up to Mistberget at 663 m a.s.l. This is the second highest peak in Eidskog municipality. Close to the top, there is a fire tower with spectacular views of Romerike. The detour to Mistberget is 3.8 km one way, and is an uphill climb.

When you have reached the bottom of the hill, the emerald mines (Smaragdgruvene) are only a few hundred metres away, and is the ideal place to stop for a coffee and a bite to eat – and perhaps search for the world's most unique gemstone.

By the bridges on your way down to Minnesund, you will find Mjøssamlingene – a museum telling the maritime history of Mjøsa.

To reach Eidsvoll railway station, you have two choices. The shortest route (11 km) runs on the western side of Vorma, and follows Trondheimsveien and Eidsvollsveien on National Cycle Route no. 7.  Route 177 (14 km) on the eastern side of Vorma is longer (14 km) and hillier, but is sheltered from most of the traffic noise from the E6.

Historical detour to Eidsvoll Manor House
On your way down to Eidsvoll Manor House, you may wish to stop by Loftet farm shop – formerly voted one of the country's best of its kind – and, if your legs can cope, perhaps also Eidsvoll 1814 for an insight into the history that has shaped our democracy. A detour to Eidsvoll open-air museum on your way to Eidsvoll 1814 is also possible.
