The Mjøstråkk cycling route is a unique and scenic multiple-day adventure, offering an unforgettable way to experience the beautiful landscapes around Norways largest lake. To make your journey even easier, Visit Øst-Norge offers a convenient luggage transport service, available from June 24th to August 18th. This service allows you to enjoy your ride without worrying about your luggage.

Booking and Programme Details

To use the luggage transport service, you must book in advance and follow a specific schedule. The cycling programme is designed to fit perfectly into the route and ensures a smooth and well-organized experience. 

Your arrival day must fall on either a Wednesday or Thursday, depending on the number of cycling days you wish to enjoy. When planning the tour, overnights in (one of) the designated hotels are required to access this service.

Home Hotel Astoria in Hamar
Wood Hotel in Brumunddal
Home Hotel Hammer in Lillehammer
Quality Hotel Strand in Gjøvik
Hurdalsjøen Hotell in Hurdal

The Weekly Programme:

Wednesdays:   Arrival or departure day at either Hamar or Brumunddal.
Thursdays:      Cycling day trip from the hotel. (no luggage transport on this day)
       Hamar:            Cycling to Stange
       Brumunddal:    Cycling to Helgøya Island
Saturdays:     Sightseeing in Lillehammer or cycling to Sjusjøen (no luggage transport on this day)
Sundays:        Luggage transport from Lillehammer to Gjøvik.
Mondays:       Luggage transport from Gjøvik to Hurdalsjøen.
Tuesdays:       Luggage transport from Hurdalsjøen to Hamar/Brumunddal.
Tuesday/Wednesday: Departure

Luggage must be ready at the reception no later than 9:00 a.m. and will be delivered to the next hotel by 4:00 p.m. at the latest.
When ordering luggage transport the prices include 1 pcs of luggage p.p. (maks 20kg).
