DS Skibladner from 1856 is the world's oldest paddle steamer in regular service and is a beautiful sight on Lake Mjøsa on a sunny summer day. On board, you can enjoy the beautiful Mjøsa landscape with a good cup of coffee and experience the steam engine and paddles in operation. You can also take a walk around the ship and admire the beautiful lounges below deck and enjoy a better meal in 1. Plads Madsalon. Skibladner runs scheduled services during the school summer holidays and before and after the route season, Skibladner has a number of exciting events with varied music and entertainment.

Ever since 1856, Mjøsa's white swan has been steaming gracefully on Mjøsa, characterized by good care and thorough inspection. What could be more atmospheric than spending a summer morning on Lake Mjøsa, while enjoying a hearty breakfast in the aft saloon of Skibladner?

Skibladner has its home port at Gjøvik and departs 6 times a week, Tuesday to Sunday at 09:30.

The ship calls at Hamar, Lillehammer, Brumunddal, Moelv, Eidsvoll, Kapp, Nes, Atlungstad and Evjua.

Culinary traditions
The ship’s restaurant “1. plads Matsalon” is one of the region’s best restaurants, with an interior that is breathtaking.
Start your day with a tasty breakfast, enjoy a salad for lunch or enjoy a meal featuring Skibladner’s traditional salmon, followed up with fresh strawberries and coffee.

• Skibladner is classified as a protected historical vessel that unfortunately was never built to accommodate wheelchairs. Thus we're sorry to inform that wheelchairs are prohibited due to safety reasons.
• No animals are allowed on the board, with the exception of service dogs. 
• Smoking is prohibited on board.
