About
Welcome to Fru G – A Cozy Countryside Escape!
Nestled in a charming rural setting, Fru G offers a delightful shop, a welcoming café, and a serene garden – a visit here is a must! Though surrounded by nature, we’re just five minutes from Route E6 and close to Ringsaker Church (worthwhile a visit as well!).
Our historic 1850s building has a rich past as a coaching inn, country store, and banqueting hall. Today, one of its beautiful rooms is home to our inviting shop, where you’ll find unique handmade pieces from FigurMakeriet, including sculptures, candleholders, and other decorative gifts. We also offer seasonal produce from our own garden, as well as gourmet specialties from local producers. In autumn, don’t miss our freshly baked rye bread and other homemade treats.
Countryside Café & Idyllic Garden
Our café and function rooms reflect the history of the house, furnished with vintage décor and old-world charm. Your coffee is served in elegant porcelain pots, just as tradition calls for.
On sunny days, relax by the pond in our peaceful garden with a delicious lunch, a fresh cup of coffee, or a homemade pastry. For something extra special, try Fru G’s Æftas-Te – a traditional English afternoon tea experience, perfect for a touch of indulgence. (Please book at least two days in advance.)
Looking for a more private setting? Our cozy garden pavilion is an intimate hideaway for groups of up to 10 people.
We look forward to welcoming you!
FigurMakeriet:
Visit FigurMakeriet at Fru G!
From 1994 to 2007, our articles were sold to gift and interior design shops all over Norway. At FigurMakeriet, you get an insight into the process from
idea to finished pieces available in our shop.
KunstVerkstedet:
Find inspiration with a visit to the art workshop at Fru G and its selection of paintings, collages, and installations. Many of the works are by the hosts themselves, but there are also the occasional guest exhibitors at the gallery.
Welcome, we hope you have an enjoyable time here with us!
Your hosts, Vivi-Ann and Asbjørn Gjersing
