The Parkkafé is located in the almost 140-year-old Søndre Park, at the end of the pedestrian street in Lillehammer. The café has been run continuously since the building was built in 1933. Our philosophy is to make good, simple and honest food and cakes from scratch, inspired by food culture from near and far. We use locally grown vegetables and meat/fish as far as possible. We are fully licensed, with an exciting wine menu, a proper beer menu and a good selection of drinks, coffee and tea. We strive to deliver high quality on everything we serve.

In summer the café has a capacity of 250 seats outside and 40 seats inside. We are a popular gathering place for the city's population as well as for tourists. We frequently host cultural performances and events. We have more than 20 events during the Literature Festival, we host outdoor summer concerts, intimate concerts indoors, horn series and wine evenings to name a few.

The Parkkafé attracts guests of all ages. We serve coffee and cakes, lunch and dinner. You can meet friends and family over a glass, have dinner, arrange summer celebrations for the company, celebrations, birthdays, weddings or Christmas parties.

Beautiful Søndre Park was established at the end of the 1800s with large mighty trees, flowers and shrubs. It has illuminated paths with benches, sculptures and water.

The café building itself was set up in 1933 as a contemporary functionalist building, and has been run as a summer café ever since. The café has been family-run for more than 30 years.
