Welcome to the Norwegian Trekking Association (DNT) cabin 'Gamle Torsætra'.
Gamle Torsætra enjoys a central location at Totenåsen, and offers spectacular hiking in every direction. The cabin is newly refurbished, and opened in June 2014. It has eight beds and also four mattresses on the mezzanine, and is a self-service DNT cabin.
Gamle Torsætra is in a beautiful meadow setting, only 150 m from the award-winning Torseter café serving excellent food. It is conveniently located along the Mjøstråkk cycle route, and is also one of the accommodation providers along the Totenåsstien hiking trail running from Lygna (route 4) to Evjua in Totenvika by Mjøsa (route 33). There is a bus service at both ends of the trail. (Totenåsstien is a 4-day hike with three overnight stays.)
